Also, i should mention that i think 'Blindblindblind' off the new Silver Mt. Zion album is one of the best songs i have ever heard. I am absolutely in love with that song.

I'm looking for some quality tunes. Help me out!

I found the new ASMZ brilliant at first couple listens and then it dropped off fast for some reason. Pitchfork, whom I usually can't tolerate actually managed to sum up my feelings quite well on that record. Meh..

Pretty dissapointed with the new Growing record "Lateral" as well. Not hitting the spot like their past work has. Same for the new M83. Dude needs to get out of the 80's and make something more emotionally affecting like we know they're capable of. The new record has that same gross sticky humid 80's production that sounds awkward and gross like the last one. I'm not digging it.

But enough with the negativity!
The MGMT record is boss.
Same for the new Sun Kil Moon. Probably not as tops as "Ghost of the Great Highway" but still fills the niche perfectly. I love anything Mark Kozelek is involved in now and forever.

Just finished the new Gregor Samsa...but, that was a work listen...so, I need to throw it in the car

Right now I am enjoying the likes of Low, the new Drift, and yesterday I did a healthy dose of pJ (ten, vs, vitalogy, no code, yield, binaural, riot act, avocado)...yeah, that's how I roll...haha

i can agree with that as 'Blinblindblind' seems to be the only track i really feel like revisiting...

So far today i've been listening to a lot of:

Rivulets:
http://www.myspace.com/rivulets
someone once described this band as "organic shoegaze" and i think that is one of the most accurate descriptions i've ever heard

Yndi Halda
http://www.myspace.com/yndihalda
i love these guys. One of the best instrumental/post-rock albums i've ever heard. absolutely crushing climaxes. I love blasting this in my car when im driving around.

The Tallest Man on Earth
http://www.myspace.com/thetallestmanonearth
Dylan-esque folk that actually sounds Dylan influenced...unlike Bright Eyes...
