Well, that's probably the best compliment I've received in awhile.
Also, now that it's pretty much spring, I played Mungo Jerry's In the Summertime in my car while driving with the windows open. It was a good day.

The newest Mountain Goats - Life of the World to Come. It's pretty good with a couple of really knockout tracks.

Also Modern Life is War, Hostage Calm, and currently Laura.

How is the new Pelican? I just saw it the other day at Shake It, the cover art looks good (Like Always), but I haven't really kept up with them in awhile. Australasia and Fire In Our Throats were great albums, but I can't say I cared for the EP at all.

to be honest, the newer stuff doesn't stand up to Australasia and Fire In our Throats. those are incredible post metal instrumental records and always give me goosebumps. the EP is alright, the new album is better and they are both better than City of Echoes. unfortunately though, the SL 'press' marketing the 'new' Pelican as back to a heavier unit is wrong imo. they're still using similar writing structures to City of Echoes, just have turned up the grunge and 'chugg' a bit more.
