Yeah, posts here and on DF/VC...auction started two days after the last Poland gig...too bad for people who wanted to buy the tour press and couldn't because it's sold out!

As being called to the board, I wanted to say few word. I used to be on MS board and I still am. I know that few of you are very strict regarding record flipping and I appreciate it. I have no such strong will, it happens. However it's funny to notice that Sasan is the one to throw first rock, as he is not amongst ones I described in previous statement. Don't want to link to flip threads, not my business. When I go to the shop and buy potatoes, I do not call the seller as "flipper" who sucks farmer's blood. That's how the world (unfortunately) works, sometimes you just have to earn some money. According the very ITTCT case - I made few hundreds kilometers to see them, it cost me quite a bit. I bought vinyl for myself, then watched them playing. After the gig, it turned out that no one is interested in vinyl, there are still more on the merch. I talked with guys from the band and the merch guy, they had no problem selling me another. I guess they sell it to gain money for the tour. I sell it on eBay, get some money and send it to the band/SoS/MS for another pressing. I know there are saints here, but c'mon - do not be more catholic than the pope. Hope that's it, I'm not going to tell anything in that case on any other board, I say it here as I do respect you guys. Please, don't say I'd more respect everyone if I didn't flip, it just happens. EOT for me, you know it's a "flamewar" topic, hope we can pass on it here. And unfortunately, I'm not "kid" anymore.. Thanks for reading.

Don't get me wrong here, man...I also travelled ~600km to see them live and I also had to sell records on ebay the past few months in order to pay my rent which I really, really regret as times are changing to good ones again! I cite yaro from the VC board: Quote: anyway, they didnt have the vinyl anymore as it sold out already. one of the guys told me people were going crazy over the records, started fights and shit.
It is just the fact that there actually were people who really wanted the record but couldn't get one since it was sold out. And seeing this on the bay so quickly after the gig is disappointing anyways...

I'm just saying that I've been standing behind the guy who buy 4 or 5 copies of a tour press or festival press, then hear him brag about how much money he's going to make on them. If they had left overs at the gig then it's no bigs. I respect that you took the time to answer. No offense meant. That being said, I understand your point of view and this is an old argument that will never get settled. I was stupid for picking the old scabs and salting the wounds. My mistake and I apologize. Looking back at the posts you still post here pretty often, sorry about that too. hope this doesn't sour you to us. I still love you!

That's why I love this forum. No damn cannons and crucifixes. Thanks for the not making it bigger. Hope we can focus on music. So, my few cents. I am absolutely amazed by this album. As the first track revealed (the title one) didn't make the work for me, when I heard the whole album at home (and later live) was sold. Knives are a bit like GIAA, but still beautiful. I guess it's my most favourite Trees album now, although I'll have to wait until it gets older, I guess. And I heard some rumors that we won't have to wait long for the new music from them..

I am only mad I can't afford it. Flipping is funny I remember when ITTCT had very limited copies of S/T and ATEBTS for sale after being "sold out" for quite sometime I bought 5 copies of each and offered them to the board here at cost. I felt great about knowing that I could help out my MS friends and get them to people who just wanted the music and weren't interested in making money off them. I am on the internet a ridiculous amount of time while this board has people who are more passive about their surfing so why not? Even though I have a small distro and I could probably get away with a small markup and people might scoff and others would pay. But I know that this band is part of my Sheath family and I could never do that to my homies. But I have scalped tickets to a show by my favorite band because I got the wrong night and the money helped me recover the ridiculous amount of cash I paid myself to go see them (airfare, hotels etc)...so there is no judgements from me with doing stuff like that once in awhile...plus it gives those of us who don't have a chance to see them a hope and dream that we too can own such a sick piece of wax. euzebiusz your def cool in my book.

Yeah, you're definitely cool in my book. I was accused of flipping over at VC for picking up a copy for someone who didn't pay me for it, so now I have a spare. I'm not quite ready to say what I am doing with it, but hang tight people!
