That record is sexy looking. I can't wait for my copy to arrive, along with my white copy, and my live album!

Got mine the other day the paper sleeves and lack of insert was sort of strange but that just makes the first press that much more special.

Yeah, that was the point man, always keep the OG pressings special. We actually nearly nixed the gold foil stamping as well, but decided to keep it at the last second. I personally really dig this pressing though, I love the jackets, I think they came out really nice.

So what's actually the difference in the sleeves of the pressings? Don't have the second pressing...

The first pressing was a 5mm spine side loading jacket, the second pressing is in a gatefold jacket. They're both 20pt stock thickness. Another difference is that thew first pressing has a matte finish, the second pressing has a standard semi-gloss finish.

Nerd-note: there was a different gold foil stamping tool used on the second pressing since it was a gatefold vs. side loading jacket. If you look closely at the catalog number on the spine, they were able to correct it on the second pressing. If you've never noticed on the first pressing, the catalog number on the spine faces the opposite direction than the band name/album title, that was not intentional :)

Hey Joel do me a favor next time you press this can you do a variant that is transparent Maroon with all the special stuff from 1st press so I can stop looking for a record that only seems to exist in 3 people's collections

my record OCD is starting to weigh me down after I have this in my collection I am all caught up again and can sleep better at night.

nerd note: we had to have the pressing plant make a custom color for that transparent maroon variant as it's not a normal color that they press. it cost a lot of dough to have it made and we've never even held one in our hands haha :D
