Well, another great month has come and gone and
September brings us a new season with a new focus and drive. But before
we get too far ahead of ourselves, let's talk about last month =) We
made a trip into the deep midwest (Kansas City, pictured on the left)
and had an amazing time hanging out with our hombres in Actors & Actresses!
(pictured below in their glorious live incarnation)If you haven't
listened to this band before, you should probably get with the program
and listen to them HERE!
They showed us a great time and we found out
Kansas City is a pretty awesome place! They sound perfect live and we
even got to hear some new songs that will be on their upcoming release.
Trust us when we say that the songs are top shelf jams!
But unfortunately when something this awesome
happens, the universe has to ensure its perfect balance by causing
something shitty to take place. In this case, that happened when Giants were supposed to meet up with us and Actors & Actresses,
but ran into some vehicle troubles and were unable to make it =( It was
tough, but we made it through by taking comfort in the knowledge that
we'll have many more good times together with those boys =)
So,
long story short, the summer was filled with blissful travels, new
artists added to our fierce regime, and solid growth for The Mylene
Sheath.
Now the time is fast approaching to hunker down and
barricade ourselves in doors and away from the cold and snowy months
ahead. Crazy! We've got a few tricks up are sleeves that should make
the season a momentous one. Let's get to work and get it done!

CASPIAN INVADES EUROPE!!
All of our European brothers and sisters are in for a GREAT treat next month when our beloved homies in CASPIAN
bring the ruckus over to your side of the Atlantic!! The band comes
equipped with a special super limited "European Tour" edition of the
recent vinyl pressing of "You Are The Conductor". It will be on white
vinyl and limited 100 copies ONLY. This will only be available through
the band at shows over there, so if you missed out on the brown
mailorder edition, this is a great chance to scoop a different limited
edition and a very special version indeed, as it's the first edition
we've ever pressed exclusively for a tour in Europe! Hopefully you can
snag one! All the tour dates are listed below:
If you're anywhere within 300 miles of any of these dates, it's
obligatory that you make the trip to watch them perform live. They're
unbelievable, everything you've heard is 110% true. Don't miss it!!
EKSI EKSO - I Am Your Bastard Wings 2xLP
The test presses for EKSI EKSO's "I
Am Your Bastard Wings" 2xLP have been approved and are being pressed at
the plant as we speak! They sound amazing and as you can see from the
pictures of the testpresses, they look amazing as well! The D-side
etching came out great and we couldn't be happier. In addition to the
etching, this album is also unique to the label in that it will be the
first double LP that we've released that we haven't packaged in a
gatefold jacket. Instead, we all decided on packaging the two LP's in
their own full color, jacket stock inner sleeves, then sliding each
of
those into an upgraded, heavy, 5mm spine jacket. There will be 200 on a
translucent orange/black swirl colored vinyl and 600 on white vinyl
available for mailorder. In addition, the band will have copies on translucent red/translucent orange swirl available from them at shows.
We are starting the preorders for this asap. Look for another email
from us in about a week to let you know it's available for preorder =)
CASPIAN - You Are The Conductor 12" update!
Thanks again to everyone who swooped in on last months preorder, CASPIAN's "You
Are The Conductor" 12". The response was insane and we can't wait to
mail these beauties out to you all =) Looks like at this point these
should start shipping out in two weeks at the latest. We'll email
everyone as their orders ship so they can be on the lookout for

BENEATH OBLIVION 10" update
Just
a quick update on the upcoming Beneath Oblivion 10". There's been a
couple different masters made for this beast and we're just in the
process of deciding which one to use because they all sound awesome.
After the decision's made, it's straight off to the plant for pressing.
Look for an October/November preorder =) More details as the time gets
closer. You can check these guys out HERE, if you still haven't =)
So
summer is sadly over and September is a bit light on shows for the
bands, but it's ok! Lots of great stuff on the plate for the upcoming
months. For one, we're having some new sampler CD's made with our
friends at CAVITY RECORDS.
Half the CD to include their bands and half to showcase our bands. It
will be included in each order we receive as well as available for free
download on our website, probably on the "MEDIA" page. That should be
done this month sometime. The EKSI EKSO preorder will begin in just a few short moments. CASPIAN
is set to crush Europe. In addition to everything we've been talking
about in this months newsletter, we'll have a couple other surprises
this month as well for everyone on the mailing list =) Hope everyone

What a blast last month was! Joel had a birthday! We got to hang with Gifts From Enola and If These Trees Could Talk, which was absolutely amazing! Hopefully some of you got to see or get to see them both perform live asap, because they are spec.tac.u.lar live. Thanks to both the bands for the great times and special props to Gifts From Enola for touring almost all summer =)
But a new month is upon us, and blessed summer has pushed for this month to be just as great.
As you may know, we are finally having the preorder for the long awaited Caspian - You Are The Conductor 12" vinyl pressing! Sorry to say that by the time you read this, we will have already sold out of the brown vinyl. Thanks to everyone who snagged one up and sorry to those who missed the boat. =) / =( But, we still have plenty of the clear, which some may say holds a better fidelity than colored vinyl. Eksi Ekso's "I Am Your Bastard Wings 2xLP is officallly in production. Preorders should start by the beginning of September. As always, everyone on our mailing list get first dibs and all preorders are entered into a raffle to win a test press. This record is going to be beautiful! The intense artwork will be spread across two full-color jacket stock innersleeves housed in a 5" spine full colored matte jacket with a D side etching. Vinyl color options will be 200 mailorder edition of black/ translucent orange swirl and 600 on white vinyl. The bands tour copies are transpired red and transparent orange swirl. Can't wait to see how these come out! If you're still unaware, they sound like THIS !

Still on the way is the 10" for Beneath Oblivion featuring two brand new tracks. The tracks are currently being mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East where all things amazing are done (Caspian, Torche, Isis, Converge). The artwork is completed and ready to go, so as soon as the audio comes in we'll send this monster off to be pressed up. We're going to be tentatively aiming at a preorder for it in the beginning of October with the preorders shipping in early November. Digitally, the album will be released on iTunes in November as well, if everything goes according to schedule. Witness the onslaught HERE!
